Diane Gilman, PsyD helps travel organizations navigate both the human and interpersonal side of travel- including topics such as mental health first aid, crisis management, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, and establishing healthy group boundaries while on tour. In addition, Dr. Gilman helps at the organizational level by addressing topics that foster healthy company dynamics, team building, and creating a strong empowered company culture. She is especially passionate about helping leaders make sense of powerful on-the-ground travel experiences to turn them into meaningful, positive growth for both individuals and organizations alike. Dr. Gilman offers both formal presentations and trainings, as well as fun and informal “ask an expert” talks on mental health and boundaries for travel organizations.
Dr. Gilman is dedicated to supporting the travel industry from both a guest and organizational perspective, having experience in both sides of the group travel experience. Her unique expertise stems from a combination of more than two decades in her psychology private practice, owning Great Minds Abroad and successfully leading 5 worldwide retreats, and her personal experience in traveling to nearly 60 countries on 6 continents. She has been both a keynote speaker and an organizational trainer and consultant, and has appeared in several publications, podcasts, and radio shows.
